It was then he'd thought he'd heard the sound of a ship's bell and so he snapped awake. He looked around to see where it was coming from. When he saw no one was around he simply mumbled, "Humbug." Just about that a bright light seemed to flash in front of his face, like a flare. He opened his eyes to see a tugboat standing before him.
