The Next Day
After Texas had come to a stop in Rikenville, Nimble and Herman both jumped out of the boxcar and started to head towards the dock they were told Akagi and Yakatcha called their home port. They were both suddenly stopped when Stan Farefurt stepped out in front of her. Nimble jumped and Hermans body began to tense up as if he were a large cat ready to strike. He handed nimble a small business card and said, My number, in case you get lonely. Dont worry. Nimble said as she ripped up the paper, I wont. Stan was about to step closer to her when Herman rolled in front of her and began to snarl at him, while kneading the ground with his tires, a clear sign of a territorial hearse warning him of the danger ahead. Stan stepped back as Nimble and Herman headed right past him and onto the docks as Stan said, That hearse cant protect you forever. One day youll be mine
A Few Hours Later
YOO-HOO(For my dad)
Nimble, Herman, and Titanic were all sitting around and talking about growing up in their home town. The conversation consisted mostly of Nimble and Herman as kids and being in her father, Valkris, funeral home. Nimble was just telling them about when she and Valkris would go to the gas station to get the hearses washed and gassed up
Nimble was only about 2 years old and was so small her lion like paws barely reached to the edge of Caisson, Hermans father, seat. Her eyes stared widely as she watched the scenery go by as Valkris had the radio playing his country music. Caisson slowly turned into the gas station as Nimble grinned, knowing Valkris would be coming out with a Yoo-Hoo for her after he finished paying for the gas like always.
Be back in a minute. Valkris said as he stepped out of Caissons driver side door and began to fill him up with gas. Once he was done with that, he walked into the small convince store to pay for the gas an

Joslin and Nimble hugged each other tightly, tears starting to fall. I will miss you so much. Joslin said. So will I. Nimble said, But if you're ever at Zoiths temple, please look me up. I'll do that. Joslin said as they heard the conductor shout, ALL ABOARD! Nimble looked at the massive 4-4-0 and noted the number written on the side. Hmm #47. Nimble thought to herself, That must be Texas. It was then they turned and started to head off for the empty boxcar that was just behind the last passenger car. The train station was almost empty, save for a few travelers who removed their hats at the sight of Nimble and Herman. Nimble figured they probably thought they were here to make a pick up for a local funeral home but didnt dare correct them; all she thought about was that empty box car and the freedom and hope it carried in it. When she noticed they stopped looking at her, Herm

Titanic and the others were just out leaving the Naufragio Sea. Good rittens! Empress of Ireland said. Here, here! Lusitania replied heartily. All the ships began to laugh and cheer happily. Continental couldnt help but smile at his new seafaring friends and their joy at leaving such a horrible sea that was targeted for their death and torment. His ears flicked forward as he shouted, THERES A SHIP UP AHEAD! they all looked to see a passenger ship sailing their way. Lusitania sailed by Titanics side and asked, Is that the QE2? Looks like her. Titanic said as he got closer, It is her. Once they were close enough to speak Titanic said, Hello. I am the R.M.S. Titanic of the white star line. Please, can you tell me if youd seen a griffin vampire like creature stranded out here with a winged hearse recently. QE2 knew instantly who Titanic was speaking of and sai

Rita had just pulled into the gypsys camp when the rest of the inhabitants stepped out. Peaches mother, an anthro border collie, her father, an anthro coyote, and an old jackalope fortune teller all stepped out to greet Rita and peaches. Nimbles eyes shot wide open in shock at what had just stepped out of the wagon. It was a mixed-breed, but this one was also part psychic vampire and part griffin. The griffin being part hawk and part snow leopard. Joslin? nimble said in shock. Nimble? Joslin said in a wide-eyed stare. They ran towards each other and started hugging each other as tears were beginning to slip. Looking up and seeing confused faces she said, This is my older sister, Nimble. It was then their shock changed to confusion. I thought you were dead. Nimble said, How on Htrae did you survive? Take a walk with me and I'll tell you all about it. She said as the two of them walked of

Lusitania gazed up at the stars and let out a deep sigh, Nadir, I will find a way to free you from cutters grasp. You seem bothered. He heard Andrea Doria say as she sailed up to him. Lusitania smiled warmly at her and said, I was just thinking of a friend. Looking to the sea, he weighed the truth before he finally told her, The Nadir. Andrea Dorias eyes shot wide open and she looked at him in sheer horror and said, But hes a salvager. True, but like his father, mother, and younger sister, he never really wanted to be a salvager. Lusitania said, Hed once told me about his family. His grandfather, Cutter- Cutter is his GRANDFATHER! Andrea said in fear, Cutter is the one who destroyed my harbor and my fleet. Cutters the most dangerous ship in these waters that is true. But his son and family do not believe as he does his mothe

KILL THE DEMON! One woman shouted as Nimble stood helpless before them, bound to a stake. SEND IT BACK TO THE HELL THAT SPAWNED IT. An anthro cat hollered out. Somebody has anger issues. Nimble quipped as she was then hit with a barrage of flying vegetables and rotten fruits. Nimble watched in horror as the judge, an anthro lion, held up his scroll and began to read from it, THIS DEMON HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH MALICIOUS CONDUCT AND DEMONIC INTENTIONS. SHE HAS BEEN SENTENCED TO BURN AT THE STAKE UNTIL DEAD. I didnt do any of that. Nimble quietly said to herself as the judge looked at her and smirked, May Zoith have mercy on your soul. A tear ran down her cheek as the executioner, a burly faun, stepped forward with a flaming torch in hand. This is it. Now I'll never see Titanic or Herman again. Nimble sadly said. The executioner bent over to light the fire but was knocked off his hooves by a
The TrundlerThe waste land behind the fire station is always silent. No birds sing there, and even the wild rabbits and feral cats avoid it. Weedy wildflowers nod their seasonal heads in the breeze. Lying fallow in the midst of housing developments, shopping malls, the new movie theater — the vacant lot stands out like a knife wound on a woman’s placid face, shocking, brazen, ugly.
It is always empty. Except for one thing: a ragged heap of old trash, all nasty black tar paper and vicious snarls of rusted wire, car parts and broken glass and other junkyard jetsam. The embodiment of injury waiting to happen, an invitation to a tetanus shot... the city never hauled it away. No one ever wants anywhere near it; it radiates an eerie sense of calculating watchfulness.
And at night, it wanders.
When darkness falls, and the last cars heading into the hives of tract housing stop illuminating the asphalt with moving-picture shadows, it… unfolds. Bitter, broken tangles, grotesquely mov
