STORMS OF DISCOVERY 1

Chapter 1
October 13, 2010
Nimble was peacefully sleeping in her room. She felt like she could sleep forever in her big soft bed; at least that was until one of her best friends Herman, came bursting into her bedroom. He was able to shrink down to the size of a Great Dane, thanks to a power given to him by Zoith. "NIMBLE! NIMBLE!" He shouted as he drove up and put his two front tires on the edge of her bed and nudged her as she growled in her sleep, "Herman, there had better be somebody dead or I swear-" "But there are salvagers attacking a ghost ship just off the coast of Temple's Gulf, Miss Honorable Guardian." Nimble shot up in an instant, she knew that whenever Herman or Titanic addressed her by her proper title, there was serious danger ahead. "WHAT!" Was all Nimble could simply respond, as she quickly shot up and out of bed, making sure to get ready as quick as possible. She quickly ran behind the changing curtain and changed into her black t-shirt, put on her earrings, ankh necklace. Right after that was done, she put in her hair ornaments that her nursemaid, Sleenok, gave her before she died and started to wrap her ribbons her mother gave her around her lion like hind paws. She then put on her black trench coat stood up and walked to the door as she sighed. "Well let's do this." Nimble said as she put on her father's undertaker hat and grabbed the Phantasm Scythe. "Right." Herman said as they then headed out to meet Titanic at the docks.

"HURRY, THERE ISN'T MUCH TIME!" Titanic shouted up to Nimble and Herman as he watched them fly up to him. "NIMBLE, PLEASE BE CAREFUL!" Nimble heard her parrot harpy friend shout as she flew up to her with a few of her other friends, "I have a very bad feeling about this" "Relax, Nikki." Nimble said with a cocky smile as she took out one of her Devonshire small cigars from her black and gold case and drummed it once on the case. Sticking it in her mouth and lighting it she said, "It'll be a routine rescue, we'll rescue this poor ghost ship and come home in time for dinner, same old, same old." She laughed as she then landed on titanic's forecastle deck, next to Herman, and waved as Titanic then gave his horn a parting blast and turned out to sea. Nikki and the others were waving back as she said, "Is it just me or does anyone else get the feeling that they are not going to be coming back this time?" The centaur Pegasus named Brad quietly said, "For an instant I thought I was the only one with that feeling." "Us too." Were all that his girlfriend, a sphinx named Janet, said as her twin sister, Niema, nodded silently with her?

"COME ON YOU!" One salvager growled as he tugged at the rope that was tied around the poor unsuspecting ghost ship, "Quit your lollygagging." "Release me! Now!" The ship said, unaware that Nimble, Herman, and Titanic had just arrived. "There he is!" Nimble said as she pointed to the brightly colored ship. "He sure is a big one." Titanic said. "Yea and right now he's in trouble." Herman said, "Let's go!"  He then took off flying with Nimble right behind him as Titanic veered off to port, charging the salvagers like an angry bull. "HERMAN, YOU GO LEFT AND I'LL GO RIGHT!" Nimble said as she then took off to the skies. "LOOK! IT'S THE HONERABLE GUARDIAN OF SHIPS AND HER FRIENDS!" One of the salvagers shouted as Herman dove at them. "It's that winged hearse with the landau cannons!" one of the other salvagers shouted as he pointed at Herman, "RUN!" Soon they were clearing away as Nimble and Titanic were taking off the ropes on the ship's deck. "Oh thank you so much." The ship said, "I didn't think they were ever going to go away."  "You're quiet welcome lad." titanic said with a smile, "So what's your name?" "It's Colourtania, sir." The ship panted, "I'm the flagship of the Rhino's Point fleet." "Then how did you manage to get way out here?" Nimble asked. "My fleet was being attacked by salvagers and so I knew that because I was a flagship and a rare ship at that, they'd surely chase me down." Colourtania said, "So I caught their attention and let them chase me, thinking that would draw them away from my fleet. But then when they did catch me, I couldn't get away." "You must never underestimate salvagers." Titanic said, "They are a product of human's greediness." "I realize that now." Colourtania said as Herman flew back to join them, "Well, now if you'll excuse me, I must be getting back to my fleet and see if they are still safe." "Then good luck to you lad." Titanic said as Colourtania then turned and sailed off.  "Come on." Titanic said as he started to put about and head back for the temple, "let's go home." "Good plan." both Herman and Nimble said.

"Oh, all I have to do now is just drop you two off and then, get back to Ceolman Harbor, where I'm going to snuggle up to my mate and sleep the clock around." Titanic said with a yawn as the lights of the temple came into view. "I hear you there buddy." Herman yawned as he stretched out as if he were a large jungle cat, "I'm looking forward to cuddling up to Hersheanna and-" "Look at the size of that storm!" Nimble said as she pointed to a massive storm that was brewing just off the coast of Temple's gulf. "I don't like the look of it." Herman said. The storm was a monster of a storm that had two tornados spinning around a massive storm clouds sprawling out surrounded by a huge thick fog. "Aye, you're right there." Titanic said as he then noticed what looked like another ocean liner heading straight for the storm, "What on Htrae is that ship doing?" Nimble then ran quickly to the wheelhouse, grabbed one of Titanic's binoculars and looked out the window. "IT'S THE QE2!" Nimble shouted, "SHE'S HEADED RIGHT FOR IT!" "WE HAVE TO STOP HER BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!" Titanic shouted, "SHE'S HEADING STRAIGHT FOR THE JAWS OF DEATH!" He then took off after QE2 as he shouted to her, "PUT BACK, QE2, YOU'RE IN DANGER!" However, QE2 could not hear them because the roar of the storm was far too loud for her to hear them.  "QE2! YOU HAVE TO TURN ABOUT!" Herman shouted as Titanic tried desperately to catch up with her, not realizing how close to the storm he was getting. "TITANIC! WE HAVE TO TURN BACK NOW!" Nimble shouted as she gripped his railing and her prized undertaker's hat tightly, "WE'LL BE SUCKED IN IF YOU DON'T!" "RIGHT!" titanic shouted as he tried desperately to turn back, but could not because now he was so close to the storm that had just seemed to swallow QE2 whole. "TITANIC TURN BACK NOW!" Herman shouted as he desperately tried to hang on to Nimble and his railing at the same time. "I-I CAN'T!" Titanic grunted as he tried to hide the growing panic in his voice while still trying to turn back, "I-IT'S T-T-TO ST-TRONG!" No matter how hard titanic resisted the storm; it still managed to swallow him whole just as he shouted, "HOLD ON TIGHTLY!"…
