Chapter 23
Nimble was running as hard as she could, hoping to put as much distance between her and Numa Harbor. A terrible stitch was growing in her side and she was growing short of breath but she didn’t dare stop for fear that Steel was right behind her. “Zoith please help me, I'll take anything!” Nimble panted. “NIMBLE!” Nimble heard someone shout from above. Without even missing a step, nimble looked up to see Herman flying above her. “Herman!” Nimble shouted happily with tears of joy in her eyes. “HEAD FOR THE FOREST!” Herman shouted to her. Once they were safely in the forest that bordered Numa Harbor, Herman landed and Nimble grabbed a hold of him tightly. Herman held her close as they then sat down he wrapped her in his massive black wing. Nimble fell asleep, safe and happy, just like old times…
